4Good lacrosse productJan 19, 2012
By Travis
Sick of having to walk two blocks to the nearest handball court for wall ball. I bought this product in order to keep my stick skills in shape while I wait for the next lacrosse opportunity. I came in the mail very quickly, and I tried it out right away. It took a few minutes to get the hang of it and it became knotted after using it for a while. Overall, it is something I will continue to use, The best way to use it is to bounce it off a hard surface about 5 yards away...and make sure you have quick reflexes, and you might want to have your cup and helmet on! Probably a good training device for goalies, since the rebound is unpredicable!

3Great Trainer - For the more advancedJul 18, 2011
By Laxdad
This is a good training aid, but only for those who have been playing the game for awhile. My daughter of 8 wanted something to help her get caught up to the other girls on her team. She tried to use it and struggled with it. I tried using it myself and it took me a good 5 minutes to get the hang of it. Good product, for those who are already exposed to the game.

This is a great practice and training item during the off season. I have recommended it to my team mates and I have only heard positive remarks from them as well. Simple and effective.

5B-Lax Trainer review - near perfectAug 10, 2011
By DP7777
Bought direct of the manufacturer's site and threw it on the stick this morning. Can't imagine how anyone could find much fault with this unless your throwing motion is a mess (that said, using this to perfect the basics of the 4-foot bounce pass and catch should remedy this). There was virtually no learning curve on this and I was rifling this ball around immediately. I've played a fair bit of lacrosse, but it's still pretty simple. My 6 year old had the bounce and catch on the first try, and he's about at a 50% catch rate. When his throwing motion is correct, he's closer to 100%. Again, this is a primary benefit of the tool in the first place. Not sure if it was designed intentionally to do this, but it basically makes you throw properly (through the strings, not sidearm) at first before you can jump up to some of the advanced stuff. For anyone that's played a decent amount of lacrosse, the "advanced" stuff is pretty easy right out of the gates. Would (and already have) recommend this to anyone.

1Shredded bungee cords within 15 minutesMar 14, 2012
By Surfrider901
I bought 2 of these for my sons (7 & 9) to use during the offseason. I attached them to the heads per the instructions and began throwing in the driveway. Within 10 minutes the bungee cord unraveled and then snapped where the line comes out of the factory "B". I then installed the other one on my 9 year old's stick and the same thing happened almost immediately.
Consider me disappointed.
