I researched several options and could not be happier with this purchase. The chest is off-white and has a silky tassel that is light pink and white on the outside. Inside, it's lined in light pink and has a tray with partitions for smaller jewelry and rings that lifts and larger pieces can be store underneath it; a delicate ballerina stands on a spring and dances to a well known bit of the nutcracker suite. This is the perfect quality and size that my husband and I wanted for our 16-month old daughter, and she asks to see it open everytime we are in her room. The item is beautiful, well made, and elegant in its lines and finishes, it will certainly endure the test of time. I saw several musical jewelry boxes and chests that were nice, but of inferior quality and much smaller in size. This one measures 4 1/2" H X 11 1/4" W X 7 3/4" D, so if you are looking for a small item, this may not be the one for you.
