Don't waste your money or your time!Apr 22, 2002
This carrier is impossible to put together AND have it fit on your bike at the same time. The supports are aligned by holes in the seat, so there isn't much room for adjustments. The bottom of the supports are supposed to go around the back fork of the bike, and top of the supports are supposed to use the same screw as the seat post. However, the holes at the top don't line up with each other correctly, and the holes at the bottom aren't much better. We took ours back.

Very hard to assemble, but a joy to useNov 06, 2002
I have to agree with the other reviews on how hard it is to assemble. The right and left support bars are not bent correctly. I had to use a wrench and pliers to force the bars to align enough to screw them together. The rest of the assembly was hard, too. But when it was all together, I put my 2 yr. old in the seat (with helmet), had my 5 yr. old get on his bike (with helmet), and (with my helmet on, too) away we went around the block. My 5 yr. old is so excited Mommy can ride a bike with him now, and my 2 yr. old loves the ride. The assembly is hard, but the joy it gives my children is worth it. The box the carrier came in states that the carrier will hold a child UP TO 40 LBS., which is why I bought this particular carrier in the first place. My child is 30 lbs. Therefore I'll be able to use this carrier for many months to come.

What a waste!!!Jul 31, 2002
I must admit, I was attracted to the item because of the price but you get what you pay for! The pieces which attach to the bike were not bent correctly and I am so disappointed! This company should be ashamed for putting together such a shoddy product. ...

We recently purchased this so we can take our 2 year old on family bike rides. It fit on my husbands Mongoose mountian bike perfectly and my son LOVES it. It took about 1/2 hour to install and we could not be happier. We love it.

simple and lightweightApr 17, 2005
By Paul D. Swan My wife and I bought this seat for our 16 month old and are completely satisfied with it for the price. We went right out for a ride and it was very sturdy. I could hardly tell my son was with me. It was a cinch to put together if your the least bit mechanically inclined. I put some extra velcro stips behind the padding to keep it secured. The only piece I thought was really cheap was the plastic guard. When it eventually tears apart I'll invent my own version.
