Not the best...May 17, 2008 I bought these bands to supplement physical therapy sessions for my shoulders. The bands come with a handle that is attached by inserting the band in an opening in the handle and then inserting a "plug" of sorts. The idea is that when the band is tensioned, it would pull the plug tighter and secure the band.
I started out with the light resistance band. Within 2 minutes, the band ripped close to the plug, sending my arm flying upwards. Not good. I reinserted the band, (now a little shorter) making sure there was a decent amount at the opening to get a good grip. Within 3 minutes, the band slid out of the opening once again sending my arm flying. And this was with the light resistance band...I imagine heavier resistance would be worse because of more pull. But I wasn't about to try the heavier bands with the handles and possibly injure myself.
So I decided to give up on the handles. Problem is, these bands are pretty short and once you wrap your hands around them they are so short that the resistance level is much higher than you want. Some exercises are absolutely impossible, particularly if you want to work your legs.
I guess you get what you pay for. Invest in longer bands or tubes, try before you buy.

These Bands Are The Best!!Jul 25, 2007 These bands are fun to work with and they get the job done. Even though they come with the handles I often use the bands without attaching the handles. Get a door attachment for these to increase the different exercises that can be done using bands. These are perfect for taking with you when you travel so you can continue your workout routine. Try them out for yourself!!
