5Flattering and Comfortable. Sturdy Fabric, Great Support. Wear them all the time.Mar 29, 2008
By T. Church
I have the camisole in three different colors and will be buying more. I work long hours (12+) sitting at a desk, and bras can get uncomfortable, so I wear these practically everyday under a jacket, a zippered sweatshirt, or an unbuttoned shirt. It's great in yoga classes too. Unlike in some other strappy yoga tops, I don't have to worry about my chest falling out of it in down-dog poses because its straps and fabric offer tight, secure support. Beyond Yoga uses the best fabric. They're super stretchy and thin yet has enough weight to it, so the nipples don't show through. It's soft, sturdy, look and feel great after many washes. I recommend washing them in cold water, gentle cycle, and air-drying them.

3Not perfectAug 20, 2008

This is made from Supplex, which is amazingly cotton like, though form fitting, and stretchy like nylon blends common in workout gear. Supplex is probably like alot of trade names for blends of poly, lycra, spandex, ect. But the feel is really nice, a substantial weight and smooth feel, almost buttery microsuede-ish.
Now for the problemos. One, this original cami is not as good as the straight back, because it has adjustable straps with really tacky and cheap looking plastic findings. Even though I adjusted mine as far as they will go the straps are a bit too tight and the fabric looks like it may break on the straps. The plastic findings are not uncomfortable at least, but I worry they will break and I will be out of an expensive tank top.
I ordered a white one and I could swear it doesn't fit like my others. The waist is stretched out and looks a bit wierd, maybe it's just a lemon.

Overall though, I would reccomend this is you are of short or average height, since the strap issue really bothers me and I assume it's because I am somewhat longer than most women.
It does cover nipples and holds the girls in tight, though that is hardly even an issue for me.

5Gorgeous, and worth the splurgeFeb 08, 2008

This is a beautiful camisole that works well for me during yoga.

First of all, the fabric is a smooth, silky supplex that that feels so nice on your skin. The fit is like your second skin, it is so smooth and sleek. Secondly, the top has adjustable straps to customize the fit. It sits nicely just below the hips and does not ride up at all. It also is not too low cut which means it provides more modest coverage when doing inverted poses like prasarita paddotonasana and downward dog. FYI, I have what you would call a pear shaped body - 34 A-B, real slim through the shoulders, ribs, and waist, and rounder at the hips. If you have this type of figure, the top would probably work well for you. I also like it because it is not a bust flattener (I can use all the help I can in that department!)

I believe that this model has a racerback top - it is not a traditional strappy camisole. It does not say so in the description, but I believe it is a racerback.

It is the nicest, most comfortable yoga top I own and the one I reach for more and more.

OCTOBER 2008 UPDATE After wearing this top for a year, at least two times per week during yoga, the fit is still snug, the fabric soft, and it has washed well. Well worth the price, even if it is the only top you own.

Also, I recently purchased another online, and have found, like another reviewer stated, that this second camisole seems more roomy and actually a little baggy at the waist. Afte washing it once, it has shrunk up a bit, but it was odd that it was a fuller cut.

5So glad I bought this flattering tank top!Jun 07, 2009

I had been wearing the same 2 sets of yoga clothes for I don't want to admit how many years. After hundreds of washings and sweaty yoga sessions, it was time for some new pieces (or risk having the fabric disintegrate during class). When I went shopping, I thought that finding flattering and well fitting tops would be easy but that it might be hard for me to find bottoms - I'm pear shaped and broad-shouldered and usually wear about an 8-10 in tops and 12 in bottoms. When I started trying things on, I found some pants that flattered my full thighs quickly (lovely Baja Capris from PrAna) but I couldn't find tops that fit well - I tried tops from PrAna, Nike, North Face, just to name a few, in multiple sizes and styles. My main problem was that with technical stretch fabrics, if it fit decently in the bust (36C), it clung horribly to my belly, making me look like a Michelin Man with a spare tire or two (and really, my belly is NOT that big - I carry my weight in the hips and legs). So after some research I found Beyond Yoga, and I am so happy that I did. I love my cami! A size L is supportive where I need it and the fabric really flatters my torso - no clinging, no bulges - just smooth, sleek fit. It's soft, amazingly comfortable, holds it shape in Bikram and wicks moisture. I love wearing it and plan to buy more for yoga and for other activities. The bra is not supportive enough for me to run in, but I knew that it wouldn't be - but it's plenty of coverage and shaping for yoga or walking around. The number of color choices is fantastic - I got the Indigo Teal, which is a really deep dark teal color in person - and you can't beat the Amazon sale prices. Well worth the money.
I am going to try the straight back cami next - in my opinion, the plastic hardware for adjusting the straps doesn't seem to be particularly flimsy, but I don't think they are really necessary for a good fit - the support comes from the banding on the shelf bra.
