5Very nice workoutOct 01, 2010

This is yet another very good Bosu workout with Douglas Brooks and Candice Copeland Brooks. It is well paced, fun, not too hard but not too easy either, and it has some emphasize on skiing and snowboarding. The fraction of drills specific to snowsports is arguable. On the one hand, exercises which directly winter-sports specific (such as angulation on the ball, or jumping onto the side of the ball) would probably fit in 5 mins and the rest is general fitness. On the other hand, winter sports so much rely on balance that any exercise on top of a Bosu ball is helpful when it comes to becoming a better skier or snowboarder. In any case, it is a good balance and core stability training offered by professionals. It has a fair amount of talking about snowsports, but it is perfectly suitable to anyone. I very much recommend it.

Some of the exercises on this DVD require a 2 to 8 Lbs fitness ball (medicine ball) and resistance tubing, but it is possible to do these few exercises also without these the ball and tubing.

4Great ski conditioning DVDFeb 02, 2011
By S. Sobel
This is a terrific conditioning program from skiers. There aren't a lot of ski specific exercise programs out there. Unless you can afford and have the space for a ski machine, this is a great alternative. It concentrates on the specific needs of skiers - core strength and balanc. You don't even need to be a skier to benefit from this program.

2Not an exercise videoMar 04, 2012
By sbeth654
This is not a video that you can exercise along with, it is merely a how-to demonstration for the excercises that might be helpful to get in shape for ski season. It is difficult to exercise along with this video as the instructor spends A LOT of time talking and not a whole lot of time working out. The exercises do seem like they would help develop sking muscles, and I like the balance that is required to do them. Just kept waiting for all the explaining to be done and the video to start. It never did.

4balance for skiing a mustDec 31, 2011

we always take balance training for granted when we want to get ready for skiing. this dvd provides a basic training program to get our balance in shape. worth it.
