Great for the dog- would be terrible for actual soccer.Feb 16, 2012

My dog absolutely loves this ball! She's a 45 lb mutt with a tendency to tear toys apart after a few days. I can see it lasting much longer than the standard soccer ball with a rubber inside and plastic outside. She played for an hour out in the field this morning and had a great time- no air lost. When she's done playing with the ball, I can just run the hose over it and it's completely clean.
I don't know that this ball would make a great soccer ball. The few times I kicked it, I thought my toe was going to break. Also, when it hits your leg be prepared for a nice little welt.
This should be advertised as a dog toy (which is what I wanted)- not in sports.

I wanted a ball for my grandson that his HUGE dog wouldn't chew up. I chose this ball and man, grandma is awesome. He LOVES the ball (so does the dog). My grandson is 1 year old and loves to sit and make it bounce or throw it back and forth with people. If something happens to this ball (cannot imagine what) I will definitely buy another.

I tried before a Mikasa rubber ball and it was very resistant. This Champion Sports ball was so weak that my dog made it flat in no time. The last ball I had lasted a lot compared to this one.

I ordered 3 balls from Amazon.com for the police toy drive. The football and basketball arrived looking great. This soccer ball arrived as a piece of flat rubber in a plastic sack--completed uninflated and without the means to inflate it. The ad should say that this will arrive not ready for play--and additional supplies will be needed before a child can use it. Such a disappointment--it is going right back!

These are great balls for playing with dogs and they last a really long time. Unlike the hard plasticky balls, these are rubber and when deflated, they are easy for the dog to pick up and also for the human to grasp it even when covered in slobber. I recommend the #4 size for medium size dogs 25-50 lbs. I can't find any other balls that come close for dog soccer. As for humans playing soccer with it, I'm not going to be much help.
