I ordered two reaction balls: this one and a name brand one at almost double the price. I've used the hard rubber name brand ones and I love 'em; durable and effective. This bargain one works fine, but the high density foam rubber simply won't stand up to the track surface on which I do most of my rehab and agility training sessions. On the carpeted clinic floor, this thing will last, so I'll use it in RT sessions indoors. I wanted to see if I could try something cheaper, but found I'll be sticking with the rubber balls from now on.

I bought this to practice with my son after he attended a baseball camp where they were using the SKLZ brand ball. This ball is the same size and weight as that ball and works just the same. The quality is very good.
These reaction balls are great for helping to teach proper mechanics and approach to fielding ground balls. It you get lazy and rest on your heels, or don't keep your glove down you will be chasing the ball. Makes fielding grounders a fun time as the ball tends to do the unexpected.

This thing is a thing you will love to hate. It is wicked fast and wickedly random. If you throw it too hard it will get a spin and bounce predictably. I like to throw it and hate to catch it.
