Another quality product from DiadoraSep 13, 2008
By B. Colonna I bought this backpack for my son, who is just entering high school. He needed a backpack large enough to hold his textbooks, lunch, etc. He also needed a strong bag. His old canvas bag had had it, but he needed a strong replacement to hold the weight of all the items in it. Many other backpacks I've had before give way, usually a back strap tears, etc.
He loads the pack up to maximum capacity and weight, so I don't think other backpacks I've had were necessarily shoddy, but they just weren't up to his use.
He does play soccer, but keeps his soccer items in a small Diadora Team Bag.
For those of you unfamiliar with Diadora products, they make just about the best soccer cleat around and some soccer apparel and accessories. I'm not sure if they make the bags themselves or just have their name put on them, but either way:
The backpack is nice quality. I purchased the all black style with 'Diadora' on it in white. As for the bag layout....It has several compartments, one large compartment, one small front one, a mesh covered ball pocket on the lower front, and one vented compartment on each side of the pack.
If you are interested in this bag purely for soccer, here is what I was able to load in:
Main compartment: * 2 uniforms (jersey and shorts) * 3 pairs of soccer socks * 2 pairs of slider shorts *1 Protective cup *Soccer ball pump * 4 one liter water bottles.
Side compartments: * 2 pair of Diadora (of course) cleats (one pair in each compartment)
Front upper compartment: * Some money * Small container of sunscreen
Front lower compartment: * 1 Size 5 soccer ball.
Even with all this in the bag, I could probably squeeze in another ball in the main compartment!
If you are using this as a school bag, I was able to fit in the following:
Main compartment: * 4 large textbooks (14" or more at their longest point). * A brown paper lunch bag * 2 water bottles * Assorted folders and papers.
Side compartments: * 2 pair of sneakers and cleats (one pair in each compartment)
Front upper compartment: * Some money * Several pens, pencils, markers.
Front lower compartment: * 1 sweatshirt.
All compartments seal with zippers which work easily and have ergonomic zipper pulls that are slightly larger than average.
The front has two straps which can be used to retain some clothing (shirt, jacket, etc.) on the outside of the bag.
Along with the backstraps to wear the bag, there is a nylon handle on top to lift and carry, or hang, the bag.
On the downside of this product:
The Diadora brand name and logo are printed on, not sewn on or anything fancy, so overtime I imagine it'll wear some.
Overall a good product, decent value, and I'd buy another.

Bought this for my 16 year old daughter. Played two seasons with it and she likes it better than all her previous bags. Nice zippered front pocket for the ball and additional side pockets keep things better organized. Zippers have held up and it looks better than most bags in my opinion (Maroon/black) is nice color combo.

I bought this backpack for my daughter who is almost 9. She loves it and should be able to use it for many years. There is plenty of room for her cleats, her slides, her ball and anything else she needs for game day. Highly recommend.

We bought this bag for my son since he needs to bring his soccer ball every day to school. This is the best way to carry it along with all his other soccer items. I would definitely recommend this bag.

Big pockets make Soccer backpack very usableDec 18, 2007
By Keepin' It Simple I bought this backpack for my 8 yr old son. It looks really big on him, but the roomy backpack can hold lots. We like the the big side vented pockets for his extra shoes and water bottle. The ball pocket is great too. Everything has a place so its easy to find.
