Will Not Stay FoldedJul 18, 2010 While the sit-up bar secures to the door fairly well, it will not stay folded up. It also moves around while you're trying to do sit-ups. The fact that it won't stay folded resulted in so many stubbed toes that I just removed it from the door - I'm better off improvising with my toes held under the edge of the dresser. If you need a sit-up bar, just buy one that bolts and doesn't fold. I had one of those before and it worked really well.
Everlast Situp BarApr 23, 2010 No difficulties with this product at all. It installs with just a couple small nuts and bolts and it mounts to the bottom of a door. It took about 5 minutes. It's made of sturdy steel and is powder-coated.
The product does what it says it does. It keeps your feet on the floor while you exercise. I have more difficulty with my gut than I do the product.
Everlast did well with this one.
Perfect!Apr 22, 2010 Absolutely love it! It's great for anyone who wants to do sit-ups but who doesn't have a partner to hold their feet. Easy to assemble and very simple to install, it is a snap to get it working and when not in use, it folds against the door or can easily be removed.
Knocking out situps nowMar 05, 2010
I'm a heavy guy (6ft 285lbs) and the device is clamped on to a hollow core door, and I have it moved slightly off center, towards the hinge side.
I use this item 3 to 4 times a week, doing multiple sets of sit-ups. I have had no issues with the device itself, or it damaging the door in any way.
Good piece of equipment that serves its purpose.
Just what I was looking forJan 07, 2010 This did exactly what I needed it to do...I needed my legs held as I did sit-ups and it does exactly that. It equates to having a buddy sit on your feet. The only thing is that your feet have to be on an up angle to get the right leverage but not an issue.
Holds on to the door perfectly and folds up great so not to be in the way.
