We bought this for our horse-crazy 5 1/2 year old daughter for Christmas. She had seen it at a friends and it was one of the few things she mentioned repeatedly on her 'wish' list for Santa this year. She is going to love it. It's very cute - the horse inside turns as the music plays - and the little drawers will be perfect for a few treasures. But - the box is very small - pay attention to the measurements or you might be surprised when it arrives - and the drawers are very small - this won't hold many things. Seems to be solidly constructed.

My nieces really loved these. They are very cute and the music is actually really nice to listen to. They loved winding the back and watching the horse spin. They aren't all that sturdy, but it's a very pretty music box with lots of secret compartments for girls. One thing, watch out for the little door knobs. When mine came in one was unscrewed and in the box. So you might want to check the box before giving it as a gift.

When the box arrived I was a little surprised to see that it was smaller than I expected, but it didn't really matter. It arrived in what seemed like no time at all--just a couple of days and was well packed. It came in it's own cardboard box featuring the same artwork as the jewelry box--nice touch. The quality of this box was very good and the decorative artwork on the box was just wonderful. My niece, who is horse crazy to begin with, was thrilled when she recieved this jewelry box complete with horse themed jewelry. My sister told me that it turned out to be one of her favorite Christmas presents. Her delight at this gift turned out to be one of my favorite Christmas moments!

I gave my horse-crazy granddaughter the horse ranch music box for her 4th birthday, and she absolutely loves it. At her party she received more than a dozen wonderful gifts, but she kept going back to the music box and saying it's her favorite. I stuffed the little drawers with all kinds of tiny treasures, too.
