Accurate but...Jan 19, 2009
By S. James The Impulse pedometer is an accurate counter for those who want a simple device to count steps. The design could be improved for the average user by 1. inverting the display so the walker can read it (I tell my husband what it says!) 2. enlarging the reset button for real people (it's too small). Otherwise good value for the money.
HmmmNov 03, 2010
By L. Spence After reading good reviews on this item, I thought I would purchase it. It's inexpensive, and simple to use, but I find it very inaccurate. If I reach up with my arms, it counts steps. If I am driving in my van the bouncing from the suspension adds thousands of steps to the count even though I am obviously sitting still. However, when I walk it doesn't always count every step, or it counts several more steps than I am actually walking if my tread is a bit heavier. It has ended up in a drawer, and I will have to try to find a more accurate device.
