We bought these for our 7 year old daughter for her first pair of skates. She loved them, these are a very good beginner skate for kids just to have fun and learn on.

I bought it because I read the previous reviews. The skates arrived super fast but the first thing I noticed when I unpacked them was the fact that the double blades are fake and blunt. Although they are very cute, the skates do not glide as a the real ones and do not provide the much needed ankle support. My daughter could not stay still in these skates because it made her legs slide open to the sides, she barely made to the end of her ice skating class. Her instructor was also surprised with such poor performance and she asked me to go back to the rental ones or buy the white leather skates for her. So, the skates were used only once and are already retired! Don't waste your money like I did.

This skate fits true to size. A comfortable good learning skate for my 7 yr. old daughter. I would highly recommend.

If you don't know what "double runner" skates are, they are two blades on each skate (kinda like training wheels) that supposedly create a larger surface for the beginning skater. Nowhere on the description does it tell you this, and the single-view photo does not depict two blades, but the shadowed edge of one blade. The metal is not thick and solid, but rather cheapie and flimsy, and the connection of the blade to the shoe is also weak and flimsy. Make sure you read the reviews....If I did, I would have not bought this skate. Returning it has been a pain because the company requires you to jump through hoops to get your return. I counted my losses and bought a respectable brand after reading the reviews!
