5Wrist Size Personal TrainerOct 24, 2008

Once again, this HRM was purchased as a gift for my daughter. She has been an avid runner and exercise enthusiast for quite some time. After doing some research on what an athletic woman would like for a gift, I came upon the Polar Heart Rate Monitors. Most of the reviews I had read were very favorable, so I took the chance and ordered the F11. I picked the F11 because it seemed to offer the most amount of functions, without going into the weight-lifting aspect of exercise. If she was into lifting weights, I would have bought the F55.
Now that she has been using it for about four weeks now, it is common for her to come home and show me "how cool it is" and demonstrate several of the F11's features, stating this HRT monitor not only keeps her from over doing it, but helps lay out a good healthy routine that enables her to follow it easily.
The fact that each time she heads out of the house on her way to do her workout, the HRM is on her wrist and I only hear positive remarks from her tells me I once again selected a useful gift that won't lay around in some drawer, but instead get utilized for what it's designed for. Because of this, I rate it 5-Stars.

5can't live without it!Oct 26, 2008

I put away my gold Omega watch...this watch that I bought to workout with, has become my favorite!

I reached excellent results working out and can honestly say it would not have occured without this watch. It motivates me better than my personal trainer ever did!!

And, it also helps me to set goals and reward me with a trophy on its face when I meet them...a psychological power boost.

5Polar F11 Heart Rate MoniorFeb 19, 2009
By C. Duggan "Fandancer"
I really like my Polar F11 Heart Monitor. I'm older and when exercising want to know my heart rate and want to exercise at a pace keeping my heart rate at a certain beat, not too fast and not too slow. The monitor helps me do that. It's added feature is letting me know the calories I'm burning and how well I'm doing for my age or ability. I never exercise without it.

I had this heart rate monitor. Worked well for a year. I use it about 5 times a week for spinning class. After a year, the readings were erratic. Sent it back to the service center. 1st time, service center said the battery on the strap needed changing. Cost around USD13 per battery change. It worked fine for 2 times only. Then the service center said the watch needed changing. It worked 1 time only. Finally the service center said the elastic strap (which had no electronic nor mechanical parts) needed changing. I gave up with Polar service center when I heard that. They sounded so incompetent and the service center person was not pleasant. I have another Polar F4, I can only use it once a week, more often than that, it just give erratic readings. Most people I know who buy the higher end Polar HRM don't have as much issues as me. I am now looking for an alternative HRM.

5I love this watch!Feb 18, 2011

I am 56 years old and in what I thought was great shape. Have been practicing yoga since 1970, used to run (bad knee now), swim 40 minutes 3 times a week, walk, etc. Decided to take a conditioning class at my gym (aerobic/weight training). 40 minutes into class, I felt dizzy and sick. My husband was with me and he suggested I get a heart rate monitor. After a lot of research we decided the Pulsar was the best for me. For my next work outs I was able to monitor my heart rate so I didn't over-do it. Now I can do the entire class without a hitch. This watch is great, as it gives you workout statistics: number of minutes for workout, heart rate statistics - low - high - average, calories burned and fat burned. This is very easy to use and VERY motivating. I highly recommend it.
