This is an amazing mitt. this is a perfect size for a twelve year old boy. It is mostly broken in, but you may need a little bit of glove oil. I am left handed, so it was convenient that there was one for me too. Don't be fooled by the price, it may sound like a cheap glove, but trust me, its a great mitt.

Bought this glove as a Christmas present for our left handed 7 year old son. I nervous about buying a glove on-line but had limited options as he needed a right handed glove. This Rawlings glove not only made him extremely happy but as parents we were pleased as well. The quality of the glove is excellant and it is very well made. He will get years of use out of this glove. Great buy!

The glove is reasonable in quality for a young player, but it has a poorly designed pocket. Ideally the padding at the edge of the glove would form a well raised lip above the leather on the inside of the pocket to trap the ball. This glove is much more flat which leads to balls popping out, particularly in the smaller hands of a younger catcher.

We have purchased several of these in the past few years...mostly because of my son out growing them...the Player Preferred Series are great long lasting gloves. They are very soft and comfortable and have a short break in period. I highly recommend these gloves!!
