A Sturdy Mat for Individual UseDec 21, 2007

After having using this mat with many of my clients, there are a few quick notes you should know:
Only one person could use this mat at a time for crunches, it's not wide enough at two feet for most people to crunch sideways on it.
The Vinyl covering of a tumbling mat is much easier to keep clean than a typical foam mat. It's as easy to clean as a weight bench. You only need to clean it with antibacterial cleaner.
Because it folds, it doesn't keep it's curl like rolled mats will.
The price is excellent at 30 dollars. I bought a Gold's gym foam mat for the same price from WalMart, but that one got dirty much faster.
Lastly, like furniture on a carpet, foam mats depress when you continually apply pressure, but this mat seems more resilient.
In closing, as a trainer, I'd buy this mat even for group exercise classes. It's the best value on Amazon for $30 or less!

ExcellentDec 26, 2007
By Marcy K. Aharon longer than most mats I find this plush enough that I don't feel the floor and long enough that I can stretch out. Good product.

Great, but w some reservationsNov 23, 2009

This is a great mat, very sturdy, and highly padded. I am using it for the floor portions of my cardio and yoga workouts. It's a real cushion, tons better than any yoga mat I've seen.
But be aware that you if you're looking for something primarily for yoga, this mat might present some problems if you're moving from standing to lying down poses. For the standing portion, it's too cushiony to get good balance under your feet. You kind of need to step off the mat for anything standing up, then get back onto it for lying down. For some flows, this may be inconvenient.

The Best Excercise MatAug 09, 2009

This is the best mat I have ever used. I recently removed my carpet and installed wood floors so I needed something thick to protect my bones. I looked on E-bay but couldn't find a better mat for the price than this won. This mat doesn't need a cover; just wipe clean with a damp cloth! It makes you want to excercise more because it's so comfortable!

Fell apart after 3 weeks of useSep 25, 2010
By I. Chae I've been using this mat for a few weeks (everyday) for common floor workouts. Somehow, the foam material developed a huge knot in the middle of the mat right where your tailbone would hit. I gently used and properly stored it, and this kind of quality is unacceptable for this price. The comfort itself would deserve 5 stars; the durability deserves a negative 10.
