Nice softball slidersMar 10, 2009
By JTigger I bought these for my 16 yr. old daughter. She plays on a travel softball team as well as her schools varsity team. They are very nice quality, soft and breathable fabric with just the right amount of padding. She has been wearing them to practices for about a week now & she absolutely loves them. They don't chaff like some sliding shorts, & she doesn't get to "sweaty". They have a comfortable waistband & elastic at the bottom of leg openings so they don't ride up like some others she has had where she had to constantly pull them down. They hug the thighs nicely & she likes the 7" length. She also like the fact that they are made specifically for women, so there's no excess fabric in the crotch for a cup. If you are normally a medium buy up a size unless you like sliders more tight fitting as in a compression short. The shipping was quick & they came packed nicely. Great value & quality women's softball sliding shorts.

Ordering a second pair!Apr 27, 2011
By C. Young I ordered these for my daughter a year ago and they have worn like iron, surviving countless washings. She plays full time between her travel team and her HS team. She wore out another pair by a different manufacturer and this one just keeps going. I came on here to order another pair and decided to leave the review. Last summer the girls played on turf, in shorts. Several of her team mates had bleeding 10 cm. abrasions on their hips from their sliders riding up when they slid. My daughter's skin had some bruising, but remained intact. The difference was that the legs on these have a silicone-like stay around the bottom edge of each leg that keeps them from moving and can handle the action. Highly recommended!

I own two pair of these sliding shorts they are very comfortable and fit awesome. The sizes runs on the smaller sized so really pay attention to the size chart. I might even get an other pair for next year.
nice shortsMay 11, 2012
By DMT I got the double compression short w/ pelvic protector pocket, white as they didn't have black. They have two layers of fabric on the sides, no padding. The ones with padding didn't seem like they'd be useful to me (I got them for krav maga sparring), would just make me hot.
People say they run small. According to the size chart I should get medium but I usually get tights small. In those shorts small were very tight on my legs but just fine on my butt. Eventually I had to get medium which are still tight around my legs and not compressing my butt at all =l I'd prefer it the other way around.
The 'cup' is comfortable and dissipates power over a larger area so when I get a knee to the pubic bone I don't feel sharp pain in just one tiny spot but pressure under the whole 'cup', ie: works well =]
Someone wrote that the cup itself is flimsy but it's the only one available. Well... I compared it with my husbands flex cup and it's not bad. His might be more durable as it has rubber instead of foam but I'm happy with it.
Want to buy another pair, in black, but somehow they're not available on amazon and I don't want foam/neoprane in my shorts. Whish shock doctor made a womens version of the MMA or football short, those have the kind of padding that will protect from kicks and punches and it (the padding) has "breathing holes". They are expensive ($50-$100) but I'd happily shell out a hundred for shorts like that. If SD made them for girls/women.
What do you think ladies? Write e-mails to cs@shockdoctor.com and ask them to make more advanced shorts for women. I did and they said they might if there's enough potential buyers
NOT WHAT THEY SAY THEY AREMar 10, 2012
By skrell I bought these for my 13 yr old daughter with the impression that they were "sliding shorts" as stated in the initial subject line of the descirption. They are not sliders AT ALL!!! They are your absic compression short with no padding in them what so ever. I feel that this is missleasding advertisement. Very dissapointed in the whole thing. And then to have to return them, there is additional shipping charges, atc. Horrible process all the way around. If you are looking for sliders shorts with padding, these are not for you. Go elsewhere!
