5These are greatSep 16, 2008
By G. Robert Woolsey
I'm a water aerobics instructor and these help me cut my chest.

I'm not overly impressed with the leg bracelets but the arm one, I put in my luggage when I'm on the road.

They are wonderful and amazingly great for the water. I've used weights, boards and other ways of working with water and these are the Best.

2Arm Trainers are Good, Leg Trainers are UselessMar 03, 2011

I bought these for water jogging, and have been using them for 2 weeks.
The Good: The arm trainers provide good resistance and are a good way to "up" your water workout without weights.
The Bad: The circumference on the leg trainers is tiny, rendering them useless. The first time I wore these, I could only fit them around my ankles. As I jogged, the stiff plastic chafed against my ankles and the tops of my feet. I ended up with four bleeding wounds. If I try to wear them higher, they won't close, so they just slip back down to my ankles. Admittedly, I don't have super slender legs, but still, I'm a size 8, so they are average-ish. My husband has very slender legs, and they didn't fit him, either. I am putting them in the Goodwill Box.

4awkward to use but they workJul 14, 2010

They are awkward to use at first. Once you get used to moving with them they add proper resistance. I've just started working with them and I believe I will continue.

4a great set for increased dragMay 22, 2011
By jkartglass
This is a nifty set, and I would recommend it for someone who wants to increase the drag force of their water workout. They don't require the level of effort that say, paddles or HydroBells do, but because they only increase the drag moderately, they still allow you to move quickly in the water. So, you can wear them while doing water aerobics, water running, or even deep water work. The Klingon-style cuffs are easy-grip on the hands, but the leg cuffs might be uncomfortable to people who have larger ankles. Also, you have to be careful to keep your feet somewhat apart so the leg cuffs don't bang into each other. Their higher price makes them less competitive for larger groups, and if you don't want to move faster while you're doing resistance work, there are other items on the market that create more drag and are better adapted to straight resistance exercises.
