Best goggles you can find. Soft plastic makes it fit!Apr 07, 2007

I have spend much money and time trying to find goggles for my nieces and nephews with lots of trouble. I have tried every brand and this brand finally hit the mark. It is made of very soft plastic so it moves and fits everyone from the adult to the kid. The same goggle fit me and my best friends little girl of 4 years old. Amazing!

All Fogged UpMar 25, 2009

Despite the anti-fog coating my children are complaining, because the goggles are fogging up. They are new and I tried the anti-fog spray, but this model is not holding up to the speedo reputation. Speedos are generally great, but they did something different with the baja model.
The fit is great, but if the children can not see much through the fog they don't use them unless they are swimming laps.

Junior sized!? I think not.Feb 03, 2010
By m.a.r.i.l.y.n I'm in the market for new swim goggles, and based on my swim instructor's observation that my face is "smaller" I opted to replace my *Adult* Hydrospex with a *Junior* Baja pair. According to Speedo, they're "ideal for kids or adults with a smaller or narrower face." When the box arrived, I thought, "maybe it's the wrap around lens or the packaging that's making them look so big." Nope. They ARE big. I put them side-by-side with my adult Hydrospex and they were about 30% larger. They made no sense to me. I know the *lenses* are supposed to be larger (to offer greater peripheral vision), but the overall goggle frame? And shouldn't they be larger relative to other Junior goggles, not Adult goggles?
Despite all this, I decided to try them on. Getting the eyepiece to sit comfortably was near impossible. They were so large they either ended up rubbing against my cheek, or practically over my eyebrows. The suction was also much stronger than I'm used to. I imagine after 45 minutes in the pool the wearer would end up with red rings: not pretty! The one positive I did notice was the narrow setting of the nose-bridge. Great for a small face - but not if the rest of the goggle is over-sized.
The problems didn't stop with the eye-cups. The SpeedFit headstrap was comparatively short and I had to put it on the absolute loosest setting to get it to fit. Admittedly, I have long hair, so I need a slightly longer strap than usual, but whereas my hydrospex headstrap had plenty of give for adjustments, I could see this pair potentially not fitting if I don't tuck my hair just-right into my swim cap.
Based on the above, it wasn't worth it for me to take them into the water, so I can't comment on that aspect of their performance. Their overall quality appears in-line with other Speedo products.
It's my opinion that Speedo needs to re-think their size classification of this pair. Might I suggest Jumbo rather than Junior?

Kids delightDec 21, 2008
By Johan Absolutely fantastic goggles with great peripheral vision. Easily adjustable for kids (just pull the strap and they lock in place), excellent water tight seal, large pressure area well around the eyes so no irritation - they keep wearing them comfortably. Double strap, so they stay on. Warmly, warmly recommended.
impossible to adjustMar 30, 2012
By david I just got them in time for my son's swimming lesson. Good thing I had a different pair. The strap was impossible to adjust and the strap snapped almost right away. No good if they can't be adjusted
