These are pretty standard swim paddles. You won't go wrong with them at all. They come with plenty of tubing to cut your own straps (but not enough to replace them). Plenty of holes to let you choose the strap locations.

The Strokemaker Hand Paddles were recommended to me by a few friends who swim competitively to help me perfect my stroke and to build upper body strength. I am a average boned female, 5'4", and I purchased the yellow paddles. I have used them for a few training sessions so far and I love their contribution!
The Good-
- Light Weight
- Durable (decent thickness)
- You will learn to keep your hand in the right position!
- After two uses I felt like I'd been lifting!
- Not so big you're going to clobber your lane mate
- When you get into the right form you fly through the water!
The Bad-
- It's difficult to lesson the tension on the rubber tubes you use as straps
- If the wrist strap isn't snug you're going to have finger pain until you improve your stroke (painful feedback!)
The Ugly
- You either trim them short and risk losing one, or the extra tube length hangs down and can be distracting as it flutters by under the paddle.
I'm very glad I have them and I plan on using them more than I will my flippers.
