5Great aide for keeping hands in correct positionJan 29, 2007
By Dr Bob
I had used this item with an instructor and it was easy to see and feel the correct position of the hands/arms in the backswing. He said it was the only aide he recommends for purchase, even though there are many, many types on the market. I can see why this is all you need to correct a misalignment of the hands in the backswing.

It is easy to attach to the club for practice, using it is easy and after a short time, there is no need to continue as the hand position becomes automatic...

Money well spent!

5Outstanding Product!Nov 13, 2008
By Scott K
This is the first review I have ever given a golf product. My swing was slowly self destructing this year. I developed a fade that was getting worse and worse. After realizing that it was not the clubs, I tried a couple different training aids. Finally, I saw the reviews on the swingyde. I ordered it and tried it. At first, it was not correcting my swing and then I realized that I was not following the directions.

After watching the DVD and reading the instructions again, I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. Shortly after, I was swinging perfectly.

In a nutshell, this device puts you in a great position on the takeaway and then also puts you in a perfect position at the finish. For those of us who have trouble "releasing the club", this is the answer. After 20 minutes, my muscles started memorizing the swing path. I have now been using it daily for 20 minutes a night inside (which is very relaxing after the kids go to bed). This swingyde is the real deal and I am telling my family and friends about it.

I had a question and emailed the creator of the swingyde in Australia and he emailed me back the same day. He is a great guy and very helpful. I can't recommend it enough!

5A Piece of Plastic!Mar 24, 2010
By GameDayDog "Competitive Geek"
The turn-off is the price, but I don't regret buying it. I keep it attached to a spare club. This aid helps me focus on a flat left wrist at the top of my backswing. Then, it helps me develop lag by remaining in contact with my forearm during my downswing. In the follow thru, it helps keep my swing on-plane by coming back in contact with my forearm.

I buy training aids & do drills to improve my game. After a few months with a product, I'll sell it on craigslist. I'll sell the Swingyde, when I stop playing golf.

5Impressions after a couple of weeks...May 23, 2009

First, I will admit that the price is outrageous for this simple little piece of plastic (and the included DVD, which you can watch in advance on YouTube), but I tell you what, this thing absolutely does what it claims to do! After just a couple of practice sessions (swinging in the back yard), not only am I swinging on plane, but I am able to detect other swing flaws (like cranking my hips too early which opens the club face). Over a short period of time, I feel like I am naturally "in the groove" when I swing, and I am thinking less about all of the mechanics. This thing definitely helps to create muscle memory and the natural (and correct) feel for the golf swing. On my first golf outing after working 10 minutes for 5 consecutive nights with the Swingyde, I played the best golf I have ever played. My club face was square and I connected with the ball better than I ever have. (I generally shoot in the 110 range and on this last round, I scored 98). If you are handy with tools, you may be able to rig up something like this product, but for the rest of us, spend the $25 and get "on plane". If the rating scale went to 10, I would rate this product a 10.

5Great product! Helps straighten things out. 5-handicapJul 21, 2008
By Brian Bilnoski
I have a tendency to start hooking the ball sometimes. 10 minutes on the range with the Swingyde will take the hook right out of my shot. It helps get me in a good position at the top and hold the plane through follow through. I bought this on recommendation from another friend (2 hcp)and I have since recommended it to several other people.
