Very happy so far! And some sizing feedback.Apr 22, 2012
By K. Fisher I have been a Troxel helmet aficionado and planned to replace my 5 year old helmet with a new Intrepid or Liberty, which are styled very much like the Tipperary Sportage; however I contacted Troxel and the said those models wouldn't be available until mid-June [never mind that they are already listed with major retailers]. I needed a new one now though so I thought I'd pick up a Tipperary after all the raves reviews here & elsewhere and if I didn't like it, I could keep it as a backup and still get a new Troxel. Well, I *REALLY* like it. I have had several Medium Troxel Legacy Gold Duratecs and always been happy with them until the last one - the harness system just never was to my liking, although it worked OK. I was constantly fiddling with it and in a strong breeze sometimes the helmet felt too big. Well, now I think maybe it was too big. My head size is 21.5" = 6 7/8 hat size and the Troxel Medium is for hat sizes 7-7 1/4. I decided to buy the Tipperary according to my head measurement, not the size corresponding to the Troxel Medium [which would have been Tipperary Large]. 21.5" is at the upper end of the Tipperary Medium so I hoped it would be OK. I put it on straight out of the box and it was too tight, so I replaced the thick back pad that was installed with the thin back pad that was included. Perfect fit! And I really like the way the harness stays where it's put [I had to position the Troxel harness in place before every time I wore it. Note - Troxel harness may be different now as my old one was a 2007 model.] It is more snug on the side of the head too, and more well-vented than my old helmet so I am hoping it keeps me cooler in the TX summer. The only other adjustment I made was to tighten the chin strap. I did remove the keeper as I am not used to that bulk under my chin. The helmet feels secure and comfortable - so far so good!

Great fit and comfortable helmetMar 14, 2012

I borrowed one of these helmet's from a friend the last time I went riding and was astonished by how comfortable it was. The design is wonderful and there are the inserts to get a custom fit. Before placing my order on Amazon I did go into a store to check the sizing and I am an xs (I don't really have a small head so it's worth trying the sizes before purchasing if you have access to a store). It is definitely the most comfortable helmet I have owned and it is positively stylish compared to my last helmet.

Great HelmetMar 26, 2012

I have had a couple nasty falls and I love how this helmet protects not only my forehead and top of my skull, but the back of my head too. The helmet is very comfortable, great for all day wear, has netted vents that allow air to pass through and keep my head cool, and I have received many compliments on it. I highly recommend this helmet for serious riders.

TipperaryMar 19, 2012
By Brittany I absolutely love my Tipperary! It's the only helmet I've found that doesn't give me a headache when I ride. It's one of the safest and most comfortable helmets out there.

Nice flat back.Sep 21, 2011
By HayHewitt Love this helmet. Was able to adapt it to fit long oval shape. Nice and flat so that when you land flat on your back your spine is aligned. Comfy and cool.
