Not a medicine ballMar 19, 2007

This is a little fitness ball. About the size of a softball. Don't get it confused with a medicine ball like I did. When you search for medicine ball this came up. Its a fitness ball. Its small. You don't throw it. You do cordinated plyometric, isotonic exercises with it.

Valeo 10 lb fitness ballJul 16, 2008
By Jim Fontes Valeo places this ball in an attractive carton for retail display. The shipper then places this ball with attractive carton into a larger cardboard box for shipment. The shipper did not see fit to place any packaging material in the cardboard box. As a result my ball rolled around in the box across 2 states. The rolling ball destroyed the exercise chart that comes with the purchse, and the vinyl-like surface of the ball was terribly scarred by contact with the stiff cardboard pieces that were once the retail display carton. The ball itself is about the size of a large grapefruit, black in color, and covered in a very smooth vinyl-like substance. Something not explained in "Product Description" is the fact that the ball must be inflated from time to time. However, the manufacturer does suppply a needle valve. My main complaint with this ball is the smooth vinyl surface. If your hands sweat during aerobic exercise you will find the ball very hard to grip with one hand. I would prefer to have a ball with a roughened surface. Aesthetically, I find the black ball with white logo very attractive. There's not much I can say about the included exercise chart. For, as I said earlier, mine was destroyed during shipment.

By M. Cassidy My husband and I purchased it to have a weighted ball for abdominal exercises and it does the trick but it is small! We puchased a larger weighted ball!

Bought this for someone else (my brother) who was looking to replace another fitness ball. Seems to like it and uses it to work out with, no complaints.

Not what it appears to be!!Feb 21, 2009

This is a weighed fitness ball, but very deceptive by what you see. The ball is small - about the size of a cantalope - and full of sand for the weight. It is slippery rubber on the outside so you can't use it for certain exercises because it can slip out of your hand. We were very unhappy with the product.
