Fantastic goggles for womenApr 01, 2009

View V-820 Womens Swim Goggle These goggles are made to fit women's faces, being smaller across the nose and catering to the smaller orbital bone, they are very easy to adjust, and the goggles fit on the face with a wider pad which significantly reduces the red marks around the eyes. When I go to the pool, I don't see 80% men. But when I go to buy goggles, I see 80% male goggles. And the women's ones are all pink and purple! The other companies should be ashamed of themselves, catering so poorly to women. I've even seen a picture of a man on the case of a women's goggle! View, on the other hand, has put a lot of thought into these goggles. They were a great fit right from the start, and I normally look pretty bruised up after a long swim, but the View goggles left much less marking and didn't dig in. They are terrific. Recommended for all women swimmers.

Better than SpeedosJun 04, 2010
By J. Yu I bought a pair of Speedo Women's Vanquisher goggles in clear and these View goggles in clear blue. The View goggles are far more comfortable. They don't leak, and while they do fog a little, I can still see through them. And they don't leave marks on my face!
The only advantage the Vanquisher goggles have over these is that they reflect the sunlight. (I swim outside.) However, unless I'm getting a headache from the sun, I wear the View goggles because they feel so much better.

Great goggle for smaller facesJul 14, 2009

(These are also know as the View "Selene" goggle.)
I've been swimming two miles a day for the last 18 years- rain, shine, winter, summer, whatever. I only skip days for extreme situations (hurricanes, flu, etc.). I'm not an Olympic level swimmer, but I'm not a recreational swimmer, either.
These goggles are truly some of the best I've used. I've tried basically every "female" goggle on the market- Speedo, TYR, Barracuda, etc. - and none of them work as well, feel as comfortable, or last as long as these View ones do. I had been searching for years for a replacement for my old TYRs (the foam lined ones that were discontinued) and had almost given up until I tried the View. While these goggles do NOT have foam gaskets, they perform just as well and are just as comfortable.
No leaks, no fogging, even when the goggles are not super tight.
The lenses are some of the best on the market- very thick, and NO distortion (most goggle lenses are slightly "wavy" and distort the view). Even after months of abuse (including scratches) the lenses still remain clear. No horrible goggle marks on my face, either, which is a nice bonus. The water stays out, the goggles stay put, so I basically put them on and don't have to worry about them until my swim is over.
There are only two negatives to this product: the first is that the strap does wear out a lot quicker than the goggle itself, but keep in mind that this is based on heavy-duty use in FULL Florida sunlight and exposure to chlorine. The rubber melts a bit and tends to snap off. However, this has only happened after months and months of steady use.
The other "downside" to this goggle is that it does irritate the inside of my nose during the first few days I wear a new a pair, feeling a little tight. But that pressure goes away as the gaskets mold themselves to the contours of my face. Regardless, the small pressure these goggles exert on my nose is nothing compared to the way some of goggles dig painfully into my browbone or the tender skin under it.
If you are looking for a leak-proof, comfortable, sturdy pair of goggles, give these a try. Like I said, I'm not an Olympic swimmer, but I put my goggles through a lot and expect a lot out of them. These View V-820s do not disappoint.

These Goggles ROCK!!!!!Aug 24, 2009
By 8 piece box I've worn many different types of goggles (open-water swimmer here), and nothing has compared to my most recent purchase of the View V-820s. The eye pieces give wonderfully clear, all-around vision, the seal seals (even in rough water they don't leak), and they are comfortable. Yes, if you wear them long enough the nose piece can be a minor irritant, but I've discovered that if I place them just so on my face with a little bit of play on the nose bridge, they don't bother me at all. What a find! Thanks to the others for your reviews or I might never have tried them.
