this is the ball the pro's useNov 29, 2006

i am asking for my third of this ball for christmas. this is the ball the avp pro's use. its a little bigger than indoor and the older balls but easier to play with and softer. makes for fun games. the balls are pretty durable but like any ball, after using a lot in the sand and getting wet with water and sweat, it starts to act a little "dead" after a while (a good long while). i play most weekends and usually a weekday during summer months and i find a ball to be in "great" condition for about 2 years.

I've been an indoor player for years who's just starting to play beach. All the people I play with have this ball so decided to get my own. It's really slick out of the box and doesn't feel quite right (unlike all the Tachi's I've grown accustomed to playing with). But take it out on the beach, pound on it, and it plays great and is quite durable. Beware though there are a lot of cheap skates out there who will switch the AVP Replica Ball with the AVP Official Game Ball in stores so read the ball carefully before purchasing. If you're doing it here, no worries, mine came in a lot shorter anticipated time than expected.

AVP Game BallAug 24, 2006
By Evan This is the current official AVP Game Ball. I don't know why it says international. It is not the FIVB ball. I don't know that I love this ball or anything, but it's the official ball for doubles, so that's what we're switching to. The ball is larger and lighter than the traditional spalding leather game ball. It's not leather and is quite a bit bouncy-er. It's a very easy ball to set and dig. It's sometimes harder to place if your used to a traditional ball, and it's always easy to hit too far primarily due to the bouncyness and lack of weight.

The Best BallFeb 03, 2006
By Anthony M. Guglielmo This is an excellent choice for anyone playing beach volleyball. It is soft, durable, and retains its shape and I haven't found any other ball I like to play with any better.
